Door Reflectors...winter tinkering....
Discussion
Okay, so I probably have a lot better things to do, but it's cold outside and I was bored....
My door reflectors gave up the ghost a long while back, and as they 'fell' off I kept them just in case.
After ordering some prepreg CF sheet offcuts from Ebay for various other tinkerings, I thought I'd have a go at knocking up a replacement.
It's not great as it's hand cut, but I thought if there was some interest I could have some machine cut and produce about 10-15 sets.
I've reused the reflectors, and the closest new ones I can find are about 25mm (the orignals are 26-27mm). All in I think they would come to about £20 a pair with P&P. If anyones interested, drop a reply on here and I will see about getting the CF CNC cut and ordered up. I was considering the Leven ones, but just couldn't bring myself to part with £60.

I think they look nice, and yes if they are CNC profiled it would neaten the shape. If you use some stainless steel countersunk 'hex' head screws like on the steering wheel they would look even better. I agree with you the Leven stuff is a bit OTT for price, as you say £60 for a couple of small reflector plates is extortionate. How many do you think you would have to get made to bring them down to about £10 - £15 a pair? Regards, Pete

I bought the Leven aluminium reflectors for mine. Yes they are quite expensive but a really quality product and well worth the money IMO

I was going to step mine down like the original ones... silver or black anodised?....
do the reflector bits have a name on them Matthew?..
