vented bonnet and brake fluid reservoir
Discussion
Planning to fit a vented bonnet. it hits the brake reservoir.
I can clearance the bonnet, but would rather not if i can come up with an alternative
considering relocating the brake fluid reservoir,
and or
dropping the pedal box 10mm or so to get some additional clearance, perhaps fitting a cover over the brake fluid reservoir to prevent the leaks that seem to be common there.
anyone done this?
pics or suggestions

Excuse my ignorance but is there such a thing as a brake master with a remote reservoir?
You'll still need gravity feed though I guess? And I think that is where you are going to struggle because off the top of my head I can't think of a higher spot in the engine bay.
There is possibly a bit of give on the pedal box fitting - so you could squeeze spacers between the box and the wing top. You'll have to elongate the bolt hole in the wheelarch obviously but I can't for the life of me remember if the column attaches to the pedal box. If it does you're knackered but I don't think it does.
How is it fouling?

The standard Ford cap on the reservoir with the fluid level sensor is the problem. I got a cap from something modern small and French and replaced the level sensor with the Eyeball method. Think I got it from the local Citroen place as the Peugeot version was slow in arriving, Can’t recall what model it was but the cap fits perfectly and being a lot lower clears the vented section. If you can find a helpful spares guy he will look up the cars without a sensor in the cap. Cost less than two quid.

OOI what do thse vented bonnets look like?
See here: http://www.damagedtvrs.co.uk/stock_pages/griffith....The few I've seen have always looked a little less than ideal.
Jeffsy's (oblio) 540 was one of the better ones but it was still a little untidy, if you were looking for it. Most wouldn't even notice it.
Either that or go for Fordy's (clive f) style - his aluminium bonnet looked great but I fear it may've been a one-off.

that is why i really want to see if i can come up with a "proper" solution.
basically the brake reservoir is just too close, and visable through the vents, and is a fugly plastic bottle
IF i can move/cover/hide it, it would be a better solution, but as my chassis arrived back today from powdercoat, my thoughts are now into spannering the chassis back together, will think on the bonnet later.

I've got that wrong haven't I? Jeffsy had masser stylee louvres in the end?
