Across the bulk head on my 4.3 pre-cat is a large bore ribbed pipe (similar to the filter to AFM pipe), runs from one inner wing to another.

It's held in place at one end with a jubilee clip and loads of mastic at the other.

I'm presuming it's part of the ventilation system but i can't see how it's retained.

Undone the jubilee and pealed back the mastic but it's still resistant to moving - does it just need a good tug or is it retained elsewhere???

Just needs a good tug. it attaches to the plastic vents either side and is just held on with a clip and possibly silicone. Done away with mine completely.

Hi,

There is another jubilee clip inside the car above the passengers feet holding the hose onto the heater airbox.

Heater is as good as useless and the car is only used in nice weather so not really any need for it. Plus it was in poor condition and looking untidy.
