Got a slight weep from one of the cooling tubes in my rad. The search is down so was having a look on the net for options. These guys http://www.aaronradiator.co.uk/catalog/TVR_Griffit... are offering an ally rad for a Griff for £245 plus vat. Doesn't sound too bad; anyone had one of these before. They told me that they are also selling these to TVR workshops.

Just checked with Gloucester Radiators, who had a good write up on PistonHeads a few years ago and for a high flow recore (three rows I think. They are quoting £195 plus VAT plus £10 courier and if you add the £10 to send it from your end, you get to around £260. So a recore in mild steel is not far off an ally replacement. Peter

Update, they have just come back with £165 plus VAT for a coper and brass hi-flow recore. They can also offer an ally rad for between £210 - 230, plus VAT depending on whether the pipes are curved or straight. On my pre-cat one is straight and one is curved.

Which ever one you are going for have them move both the top and bottom hose about an inch further towards the middle of the rad. Makes fitting the air intake around the top hose much easier and stops the bottom hose binding on the anti role bar bracket. Had it done on my new rad and it makes all the difference.

I am going to have to courier it anyway so location doesn't matter, might be worth a call if you can lay your hands on the number. If not no problem, I will go with what I've got. Peter
