If I leave the Griff out in the rain the water pours in.
Now I know it's to be expected - to a certain degree - but out of interest has anyone got one that does'nt leak?

My seals look pretty good but I'm going to change them anyway, anyone know where to get the seals for the roof panel?

Cheers
Dave

As usual mine is awkward. It leaks from the inside out.
I've spent years replacing and fiddling with the heater hose setup and it still drips!

My 4.3 pre-cat after having the new hood and seals fitted is leak free. It was tried out late last summer when the heavens opened up at the end of a show! Check all your seals. The one going across the header rail where the targa seals to, and the side window seals. They are all easily obtainable and relatively inexpensive. As previously mentioned in this thread, try WOOLIES, they can supply almost any seal for a car know to man! Apart from the window seals the others are standard off the shelf items all sold by the metre. Pete

When I acquired my 500 it leaked so bad it had rotted the carpets.

After refitting new carpets, re-sealed the roof and its now stormproof. Previously the roof was soaking up the rain and dripping down behind the seats by the B post. Feel for damp after each damp run but now dry as a bone.

Mine is pretty much water tight. It had a bloody good test on our European trip last year, when we got caught in some horrendous thunderstorms.

It helped by putting the roof up.......yes

Mine lives outside and is leak free. As others have said start with the seals and also look at waterproofing the roof with something like Fabsil.

Mine has leaked once. Lots. Not sure where from but I had about 3 inches of water in the drivers footwell.
Once in 4 years is acceptable in my book.

Well as it seems possible to achieve a watertight griff I'm going to order some seals from woolies then get some new carpets. For those of you who have replaced your carpets did you do the job yourself or get it done by a professional?

I re-carpeted mine but did it the hard way, bought the carpet etc from Coverdale:

http://www.carcarpets.co.uk/tvr-92-c.asp

And did all of the cutting out from the old patterns and had the edges bound by a local upholsterer. This route not recommended though. Coverdale do a complete set ready bound that saves a tremendous amount of work, others on here have gone down this route and been very satisfied.

No connection with Coverdale but found them an excellent company to deal with.

I found their spray glue good but their glue remover poor, White spirit was far better, cheaper and would even shift dry glue, it pongs a bit but this soon clears.
