Rain !!!

Anyone else get caught yesterday, popped over to another car gathering outside lichfield. Coming back on M42 absolutely bucketed it down. Roof off, nowhere to hide, about 3 miles from next junction, numerous drivers all going past, big grins and giving it the thumbs up !!

I've chased the weather home several times. When you think you've pushed your luck far enough, head for a petrol station where you can put the roof up under their canopy.

However, this action will guarantee that it doesn't actually rain, so you put the roof up for nothing. The clouds will disappear and the sun will come out within 3 minutes. You can almost hear the clouds saying 'Damn, the bugger's putting the roof on; we'll find another punter.'

Couple of weeks ago heading along M40 rained so hard that the inside of the wind screen was drenched

It was the Sunday afternoon of this year's Piston Fest.. I didnt attend but happened upon several other TVR owners heading along the M40.. they generally laughed & pointed at poor cold wet Ed

Absolutely p!ssed on in Woodstock (Oxon) on the way to PF. Decided to stop and re-roof, just in time for the sun to come out. Oh how we laughed!

I was actually going down the motorway bridge route but like all things, never one when you need it, plus visibility almost nil. I agree that the best thing to do was keep going and at speed, however I was right in the 50mph limit with cameras all over it and in the stretch where there are no petrol stops for 10-15 miles. So it was a case of sitting at 50 and filling up.
