Hi,
I'm trying to buy all the bits to do a full service on my 1992 pre-cat Griff 430 but I don't know which diff it has and therefore which oil to buy? Does anyone know which it is? Or is this one of those parts where it could be one of several and I need to get under the car and identify it first?
Cheers,
Simon

Important Notice concerning the correct oils for TVR differentials.
The correct recommended oils are as follows:
Pre 1994 LS90
1994 onwards 80w-140 (Castrol SAF-XJ Appears to be the best according to the manufacturer)
I was contacted today by Mark Longmar from Dana Spicer Axle Australia who only approve the use of 80w-140 in post 1994 differentials.
Our database (OATS) which is also used by the likes of Mobil and Castrol lists incorrectly 90LS for all vehicles from 92 and 93 onwards.
I have advised OATS of this and would like to thank Mark for contacting me and giving me the full information.
Cheers

Does LS90 mean I should chose between 75w90 and 80w90?The correct recommended oils are as follows:

"Morris XFS 80W/140" fully synthetic gear oil.
"Lodexol XFS 80W/140 is a fully synthetic gear oil that has been formulated with high levels of extreme pressure (EP) additives and friction modifiers to protect the critical mechanisms of limited slip differentials. In addition to high load carrying capability, Lodexol XFS 80W/140 will protect against rust and corrosion and has a low foaming tendency. Shock loading occurs when one of the driven wheels looses traction and the differential locks redistributing the drive equally. Standard API GL5 gear oils are unable to cope with this extreme condition and therefore it necessary to use a proper limited slip differential oil to promote long component life. Technical Specifications Lodexol XFS 80W/140 is based on synthetic oil technology and will protect limited slip differentials fitted to high performance cars (including BMW, Morgan, TVR, Aston Martin) and motorsport models."
