Hi Guys and Gals. Finally bought a Griffith 500, after a while of lurking. So after a bit of advice! Recomendations for an Independent garage in the wilts/gloucs area(ish)for servicing? Car has done 18500ml for a 1998. Had stamps from Hendry and some indep but not a lot of details. Anything i should change quick? ie cam belt etc. Any books partic technical (will order steve heaths book soon) to get? Thanks in advance with a huge grin!

Laz,

Congrats on your purchase!

Welcome and all that. Can't help with your question but your name is similar to mine so I thought I'd say Hi!

Cheers

Laz

The RV8 does not have cambelts so don't worry about that.
If it's not had a very recent service, change the oil and filter.

Welcome lazlong

Get a picture on your profile!

Buy the Steve Heath book ASAP.

Sit back and enjoy the knowledge and nonsenese that is PH.

(BTW: Look up a picture of a Rover V8 engine and it will answer a lot of your questions up front. Thats if you understand engines at all!).

David Gerald is probably your nearest: www.davidgeraldtvr.freeserve.co.uk/

Or maybe Webbs in Bristol:
www.tvrbodyshop.co.uk

I ventured down to Peninsula in Exeter last time (from near Bristol) but won't bother next time, unless something major needs doing.

Lazlong,
Don't forget to get your form in for the Growl - see June and July Sprint. There is plenty about the event in this forum and general TVR.
There is a convoy coming up from the SE - e-mail Simon Grimshaw or zz top.
Look forward to seeing you there.
