Stuck in a petrol station. Think the battery has gone in the fob so can't reset the immobiliser. Just waiting for the RAC to save me

Had that on the Omega, turned out to be a cracked solder where the battery receiver joins the circuit board (I had dropped it once or twice).

Packed the casing with a piece of matchstick to make a tight fit once reassembled, job's a good 'un.

Well made it home over an hour ago.
The RAC man turned up, took nearly two hours though! Had a mess about with the fob, said the signal was week so took me to a local camera place to get a new battery. Fitted it and nothing! Tried it a few more time and the doors locked then again and they unlocked. The car now started as normal biggrin
Diagnosis was the battery was weak and the signal was being messed with by an electrical pylon that I was parked up next to?! Never heard of this before but apparently they can screw up the signal on your alarm. Drove home fine and it locks and unlocks as normal now.

In response to the alarm over-ride key. The key I have seems to be for a seperate immobiliser and not the alarm as I need to disarm both before it will start.
