Hi Guys,

Hope that everyone is doing well, I have been quietly watching, learing and yearning for MPoxons engine bay!

Anyway.....I would like to get my car back on Estorils as quinny changed for Gotti's, they are really good wheels but I prefer orignality. I have seen the set on the classifieds but would really like a good set or originals rather then re-furbishing. If anyone has any around plesase PM me. Also is there anything I need to know about sizes changing over the years? My car is a 1994 pre-serp 500 btw,

Just waiting for the weather to make its mind up what it is doing before I face the inevitable of getting the battery out for a re-charge, MOT (my first and slightly concerned by the lack of Cats)and back on the road.

Thanks in advance

Mark

I MIGHT have a set available in the next 2 months, the unmarked originals from my 98 Chim 500, that I'm looking at replacing in order to accommodate a big brakes upgrade.

I've got a set of 16" Estorils with good 225 45 F and 245 45 R Toyo tyres, and 500 F hubs and brakes

I am sure you are already aware but those Gottis you have at the moment are very rare and sought after.

I agree with you wanting to go back to Estorils, having seen your Griff running on both sets when it belonged to Quinny. IMO Gottis and OZ splits look great on pre-cats but the 500s should have Estorils. - All in IMO of course ;-)

Speaking of engine bays this is the best I have seen... Photographed at last years Growl but unfortunately I never found the owner.

Just be aware.... The estorils are considerably heavier than the gottissmile...... And this is unsprung weight too, yes

What would you pay for a set of Gottis or OZ Split Rims ?

That is tough question, as with anything it is only worth what someone is willing to pay. I remember around 3 years ago a good set of Estorils would go for £600 - £800, they seem to go for half that now. The Gottis are rarer so I would expect them to go for more, as for the OZs.... they are as rare as rocking horse st so should be worth more again.

Thanks for all of the responses guys, ideally I want to get my car back on the 15" wheels at the front and 16" at the rear rather than 16" all round. I realise that I will be loosing some valuable and probably better wheels but at I want to get is looking as original as possible.
