Hi lads can anyone out there tell me if they have 8" rims on the front of a griffith if so was there any problems , reason i ask is that i am thinking of get some wheels but the size is 8" front 8.50 rears ,don,t want to get them if i am going to have probs, with rims catching bodywork any help would be very welcome thanks paul
I ran 8" front rims with the std et of 25 no problem with 215x40x17 tyres. If the et is greater then its possible they could rub inside the arch/wishbone depending just how much offset you have. I ran 9" rims et40 at rear on the same car with 265x35x18 tyres.
The new wheels it looks like i'll be getting are going to be the same. Best rule of thumb is that if the width of tyre you want to use will allow it then run as close to std 35 rear and 25 front et's as possible.
