DIFFERENT SEATS

dunno weather anyone has posted a similar thread before however, i am sick of being thrown to the door and ending upon the center console,
and to add to that the ratchit on the drivers seat is worn so bad when you excellerate from a downchange all you can see is the sky.
I went to a breakers yard (J27 m6)around somewhere they had some seats from a cerb the ones with the pump looked like a sexual thing
, however they recon these would fit? wrong colour though.
Can anyone suggest what seats i could use to give me a bit more support in doeskin or royal blue.

I had a bit of an incident because of the super slippy park benches in my Griff.
I dived out into a line of traffic and spun the wheels with lock on noooooooooooooo big sideways. took my foot off the loud pedal and the engine braking slid my backside off the seat and my foot firmly back on the gas, big sideways again this repeated for a third time before I could get my arse back in the seat properly, & what made everything worse I'd actually pulled out in front of my accounts girl on her way to work and yes she did take the piss.
So I fitted some Cerbera seats in mine, simple to fit they go onto the original mounts. You sit a bit higher I'm 6' and I'm OK. The support under my knees is much better. The sideways support is still pitiful though and they are hard as hell.
so if anyone has any suggestions for other TVR seats or aftermarket jobbies.......... Im all

one being to get a set of either Tuscan or Cerby seats from a breaker, and getting them retrimed.
The second was that corbeau offer factory seconds, at a reduced cost, and then get them retrimmed.
The breakers seem to be charging about £250 per seat, and it was much the same to get them retrimed.

Excellent!! Like the sound of the Leven/Sparco seats - anyone take a pic? There was a hillclimb car that had Sparcos - would grip you v well but unless colour coded look a bit odd.
Zertec seats look lovely but has anyone bought them? IIRC there used to be a problem ordering them i.e. they were not actually available.
The sparco seats are in a Griff that belongs to a pistonheads member whose nickname is h19 jjm if you e-mail him I'm sure he will tell you where he got them. I think he purchased them from Demon Tweeks and then had them re trimmed in leather to match interior, think he said it cost around £500 for the re trim.
If I get a chance i'll call round to see him take a few snaps and e-mail them to you if you want.

Check the rear mountings for the seat, check from under the car, mine had gone through the fibreglass (no strengthening at these points) leading to the laid back feeling you describe

That was my griff on the leven stand,and yes they are Sparco seats which i had retrimmed to match.
A complete nightmare of a job to fit,taking a drill to my lovely green monster took a good stiff brandy first.
I did call Zertec (at least 20 times still he never got back to me)So the pictures you see was the result.
Very comfortable and supportive.

the rear floor pan and mount is fine
it is actualy the reclining system it is badyl worn, i need to either weld it into the position i require. or can you swap the drivers seat with the passingers ? i would appreciate a reply. Thanks in advance.

John - can you share any more details at all? Which Sparco model? How much of a job to fit? etc...

I noticed that to get the seat to stay in the desired position I had to pull the rachet lever up so that it engaged properly, I imagine it should of done this automatically. If your rachet and clock spring are stiff like mine, pulling up on the lever may lock your seat back in place/desired position.
