Hi guys,
Got the griff out for the first time since January last night. I had fogotten how good it sounds :-)still got to run the re-built diff in so trying not to get carried away with the fun pedal.
Need to get an MOT and insurance sorted, i'm a little worried by the emissions on a 1994 de-catted car but Quinny assured me he never had any problems, any comments?
Also who is good for insurance at the moment, I was with Manning's last year but their prices have gone up a bit so any other options considered.

My Griff (1992 Pre-Cat) is going in for its MOT today. I have been looking up the changes to the MOT checks which come into effect this year, they are mandatory from 1/4/12 but will be an advisory from Jan to end March, be warned they now check whether a vehicle should have a cat, here is the extract - ....Exhaust - A catalytic converter fitted as original equipment but missing will be a reason for failure. Also aftermarket fitment of HID lights will be a failure!Got the griff out for the first time since January last night. My insurance renewal is not until May so I will wait until nearer the time to look into prices.

Moved my car from Mannings to Heritage ( under writers Chaucer ) this year, also moved it on to classic car policy........ got Manning to quote on like for like and it was still 70 cheaper.
Next year back to normal car insurance to keep my noclaims... have to juggle evey other year to maintain NCDs, as other is comapny car at the mo.

Hi
Just a quick one to hoover,if you send your ncb to a classic insurer they will tag them on to your policy so ypou don't loose them and they stay active.
They don't make any difference to the classic policy, just saves you swapping every couple of years.I do it with a classicline policy I've got.

Hi Guys, Just had a quote from 'Heritage Insurance' (featured in the latest TVR Club Sprint mag), really nice knowledgeable chap, excellent quote, would have ben £298 but I added commuting (for those nice sunny days), came out at £322. Good quote as it is £70 cheaper than Mannings who I insured with last year. This quote also included a zero voluntary access, just the £250 compulsory. All the best, Pete
