Hi all,

Hoping some kindly soul out there will be able to help me out... please!

I have a '99 Griff 500, which has been housed up over the winter, plugged into a maintenance charger. However, we had a powercut, the charger tripped out (unknown to me) and the battery went flat. First sign of a problem was the alarm chirping with a low battery warning. I reset the charger and everything seemed fine... until now! Now I'm getting no response from either of my alarm fobs. Can't unlock the car!

Does anybody know if there's a reset process or a way to access the car with the key? The "bible" that I have says to refer to the owner's manual, but due to nature's cruel sense of irony, it's in the glove compartment!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ta muchly

Take the earth lead off the battery for 30 seconds then re-connect. Make sure you have the fob to hand as it will arm and you'll need to disarm it immediately. Failing that call Carl Baker.

Well the good news is there is a technique for getting in with a flat battery/jiggered immobiliser, but as an unknown poster you'd need to somehow prove the car is yours first. Not being awkward, just trying to protect the security of our cars smile
