It looks like the bracket that the 'ARB bush bracket' bolts to. That sounds like a crap description.

The two holes in this bit attach to the two bolt threads with nylocs.

That is part of the rear aftermarket ARB kit...

I fitted one to my old 400 Griff....smile

There are some parts missing there.... The compete kit included another plate that bolted to the wishbone itself using exhaust U clamps

Thanks Martin,so are the two holes in the bracket so that it can be bolted to the chassis?

Aftermarket kit? Now i really am confused! Are these brackets a welded part of the chassis on later cars then? I have the bush brackets and the drop link plates are welded to the wishbones.

I would imagine so, I was under the car on Sunday fixing the ARB back on after dropping the exhaust. Mine is a 500 and I think it is welded in place. I guess from the previous post that you may have to drill the chassis to fit to a precat?

You'll have to forgive the old memory.... It was a long time ago that I had my 400

But as I remember it, there was no drilling required to fit the upgrade kit...(it was sold by the factory as an upgrade)

It all just bolted together...

The exact position of the bracket in your thread escapes me, but it definitely didn't require any drilling, and it definitely had some extra parts not shown...

If it helps there was a chap on the Griff forum whom had a Green Griff with a very clean chassis, and his wishbones were painted gold...
He has pictures of his car on a ramp, and the ARB can be clearly seen...

Mike, these bolt to the chassis. And they are handed, obviously.

Mike
Are you sorted now? If not pm me as mine are off at the moment and I can post up pics of the fittings.

Cheers guys,I get it now! I have found an underside pic of the brackets bolted to a '94 500,so it looks like they werent welded in the earlier years. They fit under the wishbone mount by the look of it. Better include them in my box of bits for Stu to fit then smile
