Mines an 09/92.

Don't see how there can be a 95 pre-cat as surely it wouldn't have been legal to sell it without cats in 95.

TBH I'm not sure what the original purchaser was thinking when he speced the car.... hey ho beauty of cars built order

Hi Pete, mine is an 08/92 and still alive and going great - with lots of TLC along the way. Have a look at the Griff Growl parking plan to see what others are about. Regards, Pete

Hi

Did look at griff growl parking plan and ph list of griff owners but not any late non precat 430's ,one 400 in 93 owned by ssppgg which is being converted to a ls I think.
Mine was exported in 93 to spain I think ,then returned back in 99 hardly ran in ! Not a lot of
Late catted 430's about I think, it makes it even more a keeper

But his is a non-precat. I thought those were export/LHD only. AFAIK they stopped building the pre-cat Griffs in '93 (all chassis registered 31/12/1992 so they could still be sold without cats) to make way for the first home market Chimaeras and a run of catalysed 4.x Griffs for export, before launching the Griff 500 in September that year. We didn't get any Chims before 1994; in '93 one could buy an S or a Griff (both catalysed) over here.

My Chim is late 93. I think it was owned by TVR for the first few months of its life, probably as a demo?

I think the first few replies may have missed the OP's point - a NON pre-cat 4.3. So presumably one of very few that for whatever reason got built before, but didn't get registered, until after the law change about catalytic converters.

Granted I've never looked out for them as such but I don't remember ever seeing one.

I did see one in the ph classifieds going back 6 months or more and that's it.
But would be interesting to find out when the last one was produced !or who got it
That said in the steve heath bible says 114. 4.x were produced in 93 probably all still abroad then.
