That blue car looks very strange with thoes lights! hehe Who on earth would drive about in a car like that hehehehe (sorry Chris.. only jokeing!!)... I've got to say when you see it in the flesh... I think Chris's car looks very good.. .. may be better than the colour coded ones as you loose the fact they are differant... Not sure if there are any more pic's on his profile (Chris52)
.
I was thinking 'dark' myself ... but bottled out (wimp I know)... .But think it might of worked out okay... some pic's...

What do you think?.. rolleyes

The black pod works for the 7" headlamp, but i am likeing the body colour for the speed6 type upgrade.

I bought some speed6 style moulds off ebay and glassed them into some original griff pods i also got off ebay (youve gotta luv an ebay bargain!!).

You need to get the pic's from the same direction / angle.. I'm not 100% on my car straight on... but from the side cloud9...
You could do with Paint shopping the black ones blue and the purple ones black.. and then having a look......

Black for me thumbup

Body coloured...the black ones look like you've nicked 'em out of another car or taken them from the scrap yard...

Sorry :-)

I wanted to say something similar, just didn't have the courage!hehe
Black ones look like you didn't have time to paint them or something.I guess is because were all so used to seeing correctly matching coloured ones which look much smarter imho.

The top car as John has pointed out is mine. It was done at Webs when the previous owner had it. He did first have it colour coded the same as the car but didn't like it as it made the car look "wrong" (his words not mine). to be fair the top picture looks makes the light pods stand out a lot more that looking directly at them. I was tempted to have them repainted but decided against it as I now quite like the look.
If you interested I could take some better pictures for you

I've seen your Griff lots of times and can't say I've even noticed. Mind you a few tinnies usually make you less perceptive anyway.

Hi Chris, thanks for info, and i hope you didnt mind me using the pic of your car?

I think in the end it does depend on which colour the car is to start with. Black features work quite well with my Formula red for instance.
Im going to paint my pods red and try them in the car before fixing them in permantently, then if it looks wrong, shoot some black over them.
I'll post up a picture when ive got them sprayed up.

thanks.

Yes.. get some side pic's up... as said before... I don't like the look of my car face on... but they look a load better with a bit of angle on the shot....
I think the black ones look great.. and would go as far as saying that some of the painted ones tend look a bit too Bling especialy if you have clear lense covers... scratchchin

No problem using the picture. Just a quick comparison from the side to show how little it shows up

Thats nice... I love that colour! (and wheels)... It all depends on the car colour I guess... but with red, black would look good for sure.....
Can you do one red and one black and take a pic?... I tried it with mine to make my mind up
