pipes from plenum

So on dismantling the engine, there's 2 vacuum pipes, one going into the right wing near the clutch reservoir cover (which must be for the brake servo) the other tOes a tortuous route to down by the rad elbow and goes into the wing lower down...bay ideas what this is for before I dismantle further?

Ps. I recon i could save a good 50kgs by removing excess wiring and pipes...there's so much wiring curled up that could be trimmed back its criminal...

Don’t think you could find 50Kg but there certainly is a lot of spare wire, some unnecessary pulleys and pipes. The standard loom is a land rover part and appears quite complex and rather long when you get it stretched out on the floor.
It looks long because it is and it looks complex because it has lots of wires for Landy functions that are not used.

50kg was a bit of exaggeration, sure but your right. When you look at some of the stuff that goes from x to nearly y bust just ends before it gets there.....the alarm and imobiliser is terrible. SO. Much excess wiring, and the ends are spliced in so can't even use the excuse of std length wires with plugs on the end...
Oh and whoever thought of using mild steel for the water cooling extension
