trackday silencers
Discussion
What are the best trackday silencers for reducing noise level?
If I choke the bhp a bit, so be it, better that than not drive at all
.
Bolt on tailpipe silencers (as from ACT)?
Supertrapp type?
Anything else?
I'm taking the 4.3 to Castle Combe so I need to shut it up as much as possible...

I think the bolt-on type as sold by ACT are your best bet, they give relatively little back pressure and I doubt you will notice any power loss. They will scratch the outside of the tail pipes but that shouldn't be a problem unless you have spent hours polishing/chroming them etc.

Can't think why but....merlin do a great deal on supertrap trackday silencers!!!
To be fair though i have done 20+ trackdays and not failed one noise test in my precat, so the ones i got from there do the job.
They are not supertrap but they are cheaper and do the job.

but still marginal at places like Combe who can be strict.
