Inside the garage and insight my heart.

Three and a half years of Griffdom, and we reached the end!

Still he's gone to a new and loving home and even if he only gives his new owners a fraction of the pleasure they'll be pretty happy.

And I hope they never put speed cameras up on that military road on a certain Isle off Hampshire

Couldn't watch him being driven off so now!

(Why is TVR ownership like a love affair? It's ONLY a car forgawdsake!)

Dunno but I know what you mean. Watched my 400SE drive away and even thou' I was getting the Griff in a few days I felt very empty

Like you say it's only a car, can't put my finger on it but there is some bond there.

[sigh}

No, I can't even blame you for this! It's the desire to become a nuclear family - Me, Mrs Beano and two six cylinder cars.....

Al - You know those new Russian plastic sports cars with the straight six engine? I was going to go for one of those, a secondhand one. (Looking for good history, air con and a rather dated Crystalski Topazski colour scheme - was hoping that Mrs Beano would like one in this colour and it would sparkle better than an engagement ring - do you think I'll get away with it? PS don't tell everyone...)

But I thought you were being employed by TVR to destruct test the Griff, Ron? Or did you get a call from Nicolai to say that now he's the owner the programme is ended?

Nicolai says that the Rover V8 has been proven bulletproof - ain't nothing that can't be fixed.

(Over the years I've given Dave Batty a few firsts! Nothing bad, just the things that might happen when you use a car - I was the first to manage to get the driver's seat to stick solid, for example!)

Nicolai says that he's heard some funny rumour that his new toys won't cover the half a million miles that PW swore they would. (Between you and me I think it was lost in translation: when PW says all his cars put together will do 500,000 miles, NS thought he meant "each one"!!) So there's nothing for it but for me and Dave batty to go into a new partnership of destruction on some dodgy old Speed 6.....

LOL @ the sticky seat. With 2 of us driving, this won't get a chance to happen again.

It was my turn today and I've loved every minute.

We should be up to some Hants meets soon. (Well, when the bank balance recovers a bit. All this polish and stuff's expensive you know... )

You wouldn't think that was an N-plate Griff with 85k-odd miles on the clock, would you? Looks immaculate.
