Quality plate
Such a shame about the rest of the car tho
Yes, my feelings exactly. It was kind of ironic how the initial confusion over the cat d (or was it c) status on the car was a mistake that the insurance company had to resolve for the vendor only for this to then happen.Such a shame about the rest of the car tho

Such a silly mistake.
Tim.
Still regret the day I sold her I wish I kept hold of her who could have envisaged what would happen was thinking of buying the plate myself but not being back in a TVR for a year or so until I get house finished I didn,t pursue it,
I assume it,s going back on another Griff.
Still painful seeing memories but I am always trawling PH classified for a new toy hopefully soon could we have pic back on a car

Yes, back on a blue 98 Griffith 500 with magnolia interior - not too different from the car it came off although a darker blue maybe.I assume it,s going back on another Griff.

I will be posting picks once it is on. Hopefully we will have some nice weather on Saturday and I can sort out the plates and try out my other wheels.
Tim.
Well, it only took me three months but finally:

And a couple more...

After the last trip to Sportmotive for various upgrades/niggles/handling sorting I think I am now as near to perfection as a Griffith has been. Well, maybe just a few more shiny bits from ACT and a quick front end respray for a couple of stone chips...the list goes on...

Better late than never!
I know - it would have been quicker to post it all rather than trying to find a few hours free in the working week. I don't know why the DVLA office can't open late or even a sat morning. Seems silly offering a public service while the public are at work and can't use it. Nice one Tim, looks great on your car - I phoned the guys at Parvo the day of the 'transporter' incident and asked to buy the plate and they took my number and never called - should have been more persistent.. would love to know how much you paid if you wish to PM me...

Thanks - I was lucky with my timing, I assumed this plate would go back to the owner (I'm not sure who Parvo are) so kept an eye on the breakers adds. Sure enough, a few weeks after the incident it appeared on ebay as a breaker add from the owner and I approached them that way. They already had the plate on retention and a deal was done.pjac67 said:

Tell you what - if you PM me how much you think I paid (or how much you would have been willing to pay) I will replay with the actual amount. This way I will know if I had a good deal or not.Gassing Station | Griffith | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
