Looks like I can be the first to thanks Mr and Mrs FFG and all other concerned for organizing the Growl weekend.

I didn’t get chance to count all the cars there today but seeing so many Griffs together in the sunshine was a wonderful sight.



BBQ was also excellent; thanks to Silverstone TVR it was also very good value for money.

Couldn't agree more with the above - a great weekend had by all. Lovely to meet so many new people as well as getting together with existing friends. Fantastic to see so many "shiny Griff's" in one place, Many thanks indeed.

It was a trully great weekend, I think Mr & Mrs FFG both deserve madals for standing around for 2 days in scorching sun making sure that everyone who arrived was greeted and made to feel welcome. The overnight accommadation was superb (although the Saturday morning breakfast left a bit to be desired) and the setting made a stunning venue for the BBQ.
Well done all involved

Hope the boys and girls from Wales got home o.k. we'll be in touch.

Clare and I had a great time at our first event.

We would also like to extend the thanks that Mr. & Mrs FFG (& others) deserve! The Growl was a real success!!!! It was no doubt a lot of effort and they certainly did a top job making sure everything ran smoothly. The weather was perfect (besides a few pesky wasps!), the accomodation was superb, the BBQ was excellent and they even went to the trouble of marking the closest fuel stops for our hungry 5 litre beasts - nice one!

A great day down at Gaydon, was able to put faces to some of the PHs, ordered the gear lever surround can't wait for it to arrive.

Thanks to Mr & Mrs FFG for welcoming us along and helping to identify some of the people. Chris was able to sort out some questions he had for winter work.

Could only be there for the Saturday, next year though we'll try and make the weekend.

Martin, I have to say Your Griff is probably the nicest example I've ever seen. The colour and the wheels along with the h'light conversion looked superb.

I'd have come over for a chat but I was busy eating my ham sandwich on the grass next to you before your missus got in and you both burnt off.

We like it! Yes, we would have stayed longer but those wasps were driving me mad (got stung too!)and it was damn hot! Even for an Aussie!)We drove off for a pub lunch - it was very nice just as it said on the sheet - Howard Arms.

There were many great cars at the Growl and we look forward to the next bash.

We shined and polished the beast for the Growl, but by the time we'd wasted a billion insects driving home, it was in a real state!

We'll catch up again next time!

Also, got back to Germany in once piece with a nice tan from the 824miles with the roof off.. (Griff did too! but now it's complaining again!!!)... averaged 245miles between re-fuellings...

We will sort the raffle stuff out tonight - we didn't get back until 7.45 last night amnd we were completely knackered. Most of the winners had gone so I'll have to arrange to get things to you.
Bruce Everiss won the 6,000 mile service at TVR Power which is handy for him as he lives in Leamington Spa.
Thanks to Maggit, Lorraine and the Suffolkfox team for all the help.
Also big thanks to the factory for arranging the ocean haze car.
If someone can tell me how to post pics directly (as opposed to a link) I'll put a few on.
Thanks to all the people who donated the raffle prizes. Also a big thanks to the exhibitors and especially Silverstone TVR.
I had around 7 packs left which we will send to the people who couldn't make it or never came to see us to collect the packs.
