serpentine belt tensioner
Discussion
Hi
Re - Belt tensioner
What is the recommended way of taking the tension off of the serpentine belt?
I can lever off the manifold with a bit of wood but don't particularly like that idea as the tensioner is very hard to move against the spring tension. There is a lug above the tensioner at the rear but not enough to lever against
When assembling does the tensioner just sit under its own spring weight?
Thanks
Steve
