Would not reccomend these pads for road use unless you have a parachute and air bags and anchor

You sure they're ceramic rather than carbon? Wasn't aware that anyone had got ceramic brakes working on a road car. (Hasn't stopped brembo selling them mind.)

I'm not saying they are made of ceramic material, it's just their name. ----> EBC Redstuff Ceramic

According to the specs they don't need to be warmed up to brake properly.

My mate runs them on his Legacy and has no problems with them at all - I can confirm that they are powerful and fade free (in that application anyway!)

I was using these up to a few months ago, I didn't really get the performance I wanted from the Green Stuff pads I was using, so went up to these. I did get through a few sets, and thet are very hard on discs.I did get through a set of pads in one day at Bedford though!!

They did not really need to be warmed up, and were ok from cold.

What pads are you using now ? I can't imagine myself going through a set of pads on one day, blimy that was an expensive day. I drive my Griffith on a budget, try to do most of the work myself. I don't have the cash to upgrade to huge brakes and new calipers. So for me these Red stuff ceramic seems to be a nice start to improve on the brakes. The only problem I had with the standard brakes was fading, I allready changed the brake fluid to dot 5.1 before our holiday. Braking was ok, until you start to race down the mountain and try to keep ahead of the pack of motorcycles, after about 6 hairpins the brakes started to fade. I can tell you that you don't want that going downhill. Hopefully the brakefade will be cured by these pads.

I now run wilwood calipers and 315mm or 320mm discs (i think) The pads are wilwoods own pad and have now done 2 track days on them, plus 3k miles and the pads are about 50% worn.

if you are on a budget, firstly change the hoses to braided ones and run 5.1. Red stuff pads with a decent disc will be fine, I noticed the improvement immediatly when these were first fitted to mine, but as time goes on you want to brake deeper and deeper into corners when on trackdays...hence why I went down the big brake upgrade route.
