Hi Chaps

Long time no speak !

Engine is finally back with me and I need to know a supplier and part number for a needle roller Spigot bearing for my 5 ltr with T5 box

Anyone help ?

Mines just gone too after only 400 miles, bad luck or ste workmanship?
I'd be interested if you source one, I was told you had to machine the bronze spigot and press fit a ford needle bearing in to it

Had your box been rebuilt?

Mine failed, dropped 5th gear off the shaft last year!

Bernie aka The Gearbox Man at CTS (http://www.gearboxman.co.uk/) supplied me with a needle roller spigot bearing and a modified standard spigot bush to suit.

Yeah he's the man who told my about the mod, I'm seeing him Tuesday next week,
And yes Peter cts rebuild my box with the quaife gears, but the bloke who fitted it only put 1/2 a litre of oil in it, just as well I checked, if the spigot hadn't gone I may not have and god know what that would have done to the box.

Still struggling

I thought I'd sussed it as the chap who bought out TVR Car Parts said he could help however I have just received the inner race and not the outer

I am still waiting for a returned call from Bernie the Gearbox man, but the info he called out to the man who did answer the phone says they supply an inner race and I would have to machine out the original bronze spigot bush to accept it.

I would prefer to have what I had before and that was an inner and outer race

I tried John Eales but the number would not connect, will investigate this further next week

Somebody out there must know an outer race part number.

This is getting to the critical stage now as my Motor is here and apart from the ste weather and lack of time thanks to the bloody Olympic build up, I'm poised to start installing

Any more help out there ?

The original is just a bronze bearing, the mod is a two piece with the inner a ford needle roller bearing, I'm seeing bernie Tuesday and getting mine machined if you want I can just as easily get two done and post one to you at cost.
Also I have a bearing supplier near me if you give me the Id and the od of the bearing I can get one from them?
