I was at Classic Le-Mans last week (went on the motorbike this time), and i saw quite a few TVRs taking to the track for the (er) parade laps.

Did anyone on here do it ? Was it fun ? There seemed to be a lot of queueing which would get most Griffs hot under the collar.

If recommended i think i'll take the TVR next time out.

It was a fantastic experience. (I posted this somehwre else but..) As people have already said, it's a great shame the few can spoil an otherwise fantastic experience - some people went bonkers like they were racing gods...so I just kept out the way of any nutters and made sure I was well over to the right and let them pass and/or used an indicator. Bascially, for the first half lap, until the Mulsanne Straight, let the raising wannabes pass you by and then you have fun appreciating the place you are in and the track itself. The car was great on the track. Loved it.

As for the whole event and weekend, it was my first time at Le Mans. Highly recommend the paddock access, it was amazing that with all the chaos any of the cars even got to the track to race! It was also fantastic to meet and chat with Daniel and his TVR Grantura. We bumped into his wife in the local supermarket, such friendly people and great spirit, interesting to talk to them about the whole racing and challenges getting to the circuit. All in all it was a great weekend, and I look forward to 2014!

Seemed to be lots of Griffs. Certainly on the parade lap. It was great to see them.

In terms of % built I'd guess that the Griffs had the strongest turn out.

Definitely recomended, did it in 2010 in my old Chim and this year in the Griff and all being well will be going again in 2014. The track laps were great fun and one of many highlights during the week we spent in France. "Longers" on here organised it all in conjunction with the TVRCC and for me it's worth the cost of annual membership alone just for this kind of event. Last year he organised a trip to the Old Timers GP at the ring with track laps and next year he's organising a trip to the Spa Classic, again with track laps! It's a great way to enjoy your Griff, european trip, thousands of classic cars and like minded people, racing and the time on circuit.....you know you want to.

Had a great time with an awesome group, interesting cars too!

Saw at least one Griff with rear end damage from what must have been a green track!
