Do leven or someone else make this?

I'd like a brushed aluminium panel with high brightness LEDs and fancy cutouts in it to replace the instrument light thingys in our () Griff.

Will I have to make this myself, or can I buy it already?

I may as well do a sketch after I've had a night's sleep as you'll probably not know what the heck I'm on about now...

If you mean the panel with the indicator warning lights, etc. on it, then Zertec list one on their website, but it only seems to take the standard warning lights that are barely visible.

There's a market for one with high brightness LEDS, certainly - what use are warning lights that you can't see!?

I've asked for something to replace that strip of insulating tape so many times I'm bored with it.

I have asked Leven about such a plate, and even just supply an anodised plate so I can fix LEds myself, but had no response. Is a photo on Luca Brazzis griff gallery, but the guy who made it not interested in making any more.

Looks like I'll have to see about making up a batch then...

I don't want to leave the original agitated glow-worms in place as you simply can't see them in the day time.

Haven't got round to fitting the LED's yet but warning lights are a bit brighter. Only problem is you need a good memory to know what the lights are warning you about.

This is a stab at what I'd like.

cut into thin aluminium backlit with small LED clusters. A bit like the speedometer on a Tuscan

Your idea looks good. I'd certainly be interested in one. I find it really anoying that something so simple, such as actually being able to read the warning lights, gets overlooked. I definitely think there's a market for this.

Well I'd have one. I popped into Leven today and asked them about it. They are probably not going to do one because of a lack of demand which is fair enough. I'm not sure what kindda figures they'd be looking for to make it worth their while tho.

Send me a CAD drawing and ill get it allong to the lazer profilers see how many i can get for min charge 1mm brushed stainless steel i presume then seperate light pods glued to the rear you know the square ones this could be done very nicely

stesrg - what format CAD drawing? Is a DXF file OK?
My current plan is to get a plastic prototype done on Thursday - will post pics up. (I don't think they can do anything with metal though.)

I would be happy with brushed stainless, but I thought the leven stuff was brushed aluminium? I'd prefer everything to match.

I know what you mean about the lamps - I think they'll be ideal.

I think 20 would be a reasonable 1st batch once the design is OK...
