I have my std exhaust fitted at the moment with a 2/5th sleave.. it does sound nice but I think I want a bit more... I could open it up again and sleave a bit more, say 3/5ths or 3/4 sleave but not sure thats the way forward.
I want it to sound something like the ACT Sports sytem but I can't afford that amount of dosh at the moment.. so are Cherry Bombs the next best thing... or indeed is this whats in the ACT system??

Obviously I don't want any power loss as I know some systems can become restrictive and therefore lowering BHP....

this post is interesting also.. Custom Chrome units welded inside the box... wonder if S7Paul still has it this way ? http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

This is an interesting post.. .are you guy's still happy with the results?... cheers smile

Try opening up the centre box and replacing the wadding really tight by putting extra in it should give a nice deep sound unlike the tractor sound you get from sleaving

Try Longlife exhaust, one based in Leeds. Great look and sound, hand built and reasonable price..

Must of missed this one before... Yes, I guess you are right... Basicaly a Cherry Bomb in a perforated tube with tightly bound sound insulation around it.. as you say... doing the same to the existing tube should get the same results....
I think I may have a play this weekend smile

Chris 52 has the ACT system on his car so I know what its like... and it does indeed sound good cloud9

I have Clive F decat, ACT manifolds and ACT Cherry bomb on mine. I really like the combination it is not invasive on long journeys but it still sounds great when you boot it....
