Griff Windscreen thread

Is it me imagining things, or did I see a thread yesterday about sourcing better fitting windscreens than those currently available from multi-part?
I was going to add my interest, and now the thread seems to have disappeared
I think that it was sportmotive who had found someone to source some better made/fitting screens

Yep you did and I made a comment on the thread that has since gone, suspect it was seen as advertising?

As they are a company it was deemed that the thread was an advert and as such removed in accordance with the rules of posting, that's not to say that you cannot contact sportmotive directly.

I think we are into a grey area about what is advertising and what is providing everybody with helpful information. On the one hand you can say advertising, on the other hand Ian was providing us with insight to a difficult problem and an opportunity where we can all club together to our mutual benefit and secure supply of a vital part to keep these cars on the road.

Sorry but there is no grey area! Sportmotive have been in contact with both Haymarket and myself and understand why the threads where pulled.

Now we are not saying they can't do what they intend to do they just can't advertise the fact on PH.

The playing field is the same for all businesses that frequent the forums.

My screen was recently replaced by Sportmotive, the first 3 screens supplied by Multipart were nowhere near the right shape, Ian found a different supplier and the that screen fitted perfectly

Ian, i need a screen!! mine bust. I had the same issue with the last replacement, 3 screens tried before one "sort of" fitted.and i am convinced thats why it bust again within just a few hundred miles
