I did a couple of days ago...I was standing at a crosslight when suddenly the engine died, I had the impression that it fell because of lack of fuel, but Geeeeezzzz the tank was half full!

What else? The fuel pump? But it only had a few hundreds miles on the clock...I thought it might had been a Tvr gremlin? Naaaaa, they prefer to cause problems around the electrical gloom and the ecu...so I took a small wood hammer and knock knock I lovingly hammered the pump, miracle! The Griffith went back from death and I could get back to the parking.

Now, seriously, what could have happened to the pump that I was able to fix with a couple of hammer shocks?

Thanks and have a sweet sunday.

Clean up your pump electrical contacts. They can be a loose fit and get very rusty from wet road dirt, that's easy. Could have been the reason with the old pump?
Fuel pump relay perhaps. Unlikely if hammer did the trick. B....dy META imob, unlikely if hammer works on pump.
