He span on oil dropped all the way up Clay Hill by a Caterham.

And no it's not very fair posting a picture of someone else's car in that state on here. His car was in fantastic condition beforehand and he was and probably still is gutted about it.

I'm sure he was and dispite asking at Oulton, no-one gave the reason. Yes, it looked a well presented Griff. It was an open TVR track day, there were garages to put his car out of prying eyes.

I'd remove the posting if I thought I could !!

Thanks for the concern but everything is ok.
I quite like the perverse fame and I didn't feel that gutted as thats the risk you take on a track day.
The green snot machine is off at HL Gorners for a bit of pampering and as I made the decison to take the barrier nose on, the damage is only cosmetic.
If I close my eyes and add up new tyres, headlights etc the £1000 excess isn't that daunting.
My 3 year old sorted the day out by saying "Daddies car is a little bit squashed" made me laugh all day.

Hi Veg, Sorry for introducing you to "perverse fame". I just thought you were very brave to place the car "on show" as it were - I did try to find-the-owner!!!

There-but-for-the-grace. Did see the aftermath of cement dust on the oil, but thankfully wasn't in your group that "found" the oil in the first place.

Other than your misfortune, most appeared to enjoy the good conditions and facilities.

Good luck and hope to see that nice "Griff" back on the road soon.
