Anyone got experience of both?

Are they similar in performance or is the Griff considerably quicker?

One looks the dogs twitchers from any angle, the other looks really bad at the rear.
Just my opinion but I hate them (BMW's - no offence Ted).

Yeah, I've recently owned both. Must admit the BMW was a great little car, nearly as wierd looking as a Cerbera in its own eccentric way. But I now have the Griffith. The BMW is an accomplished and fast car, but a little short on 'feeling'. Saw both on the track at Oulton park on Saturaday last - both looked very good - handling probably more refined on BMW thanks to DSC etc. Either is a great car - but buy the Griffith - nothing but nothing can compare to the noise. (Oh just remembered, If you do go the BMW route - someone told me that it was best to go for the early 321bhp model and not the later 325 bhp. Something to do with better low down torque and not so fragile ..or something like that!!)

Get the Tiff Needell video where he tests both the 500 Chim and the Z3M - it will give some idea.

Absolutely wasted an M Coupe at a TrackDay at Hethel, so 'yes' the Griff is massively quicker on the track. Not so sure on the road as I suspect the M Coupe is more forgiving.
