Chassis Rust Treatment
Discussion
As the title says my sons Griff had the chassis restored a couple of years ago and is in great condition but just showing small signs of rust appearing, so I want to get it treated over the winter months, any sugestions of type of rust treatment would be great have been told about Jenolite, we will have the use of a lift.

Suggest you try POR 15 from here: http://www.frost.co.uk/automotive-rust-products.ht...
Advanced search will also pull up some alternatives, but generally most use POR 15 and Hammerite overcoat depending on final colour?

After POR15,soak the upper unseen surfaces with waxoil. Use 5mm diameter 4ft spray extension tube through above the outriggers using the thumb size access holes above outer corners of the outriggers in the front and back wheel arches. Pump lots of waxoil whilst pulling it out from front to rear.
PS All new outriggers should be galvanized for max protection. More on this.

Make sure you follow the instructions to the letter on POR15... ie pre-treat, keying each coat, prep for painting onto por15 etc... Forget Hamorite it's cr*p these days.....
And don't get POR 15 on your skin
