Whilst entertaining myself at some fairly indecent speeds on a large private country estate, after a mile or so of sustained 5000+ rpm 'crusing' I noticed the oil pressure fluctuating.
On the power the gauge dropped from 45psi quickly to 30psi, as I lifted straight back up to 45psi. Normally sits at 30psi hot idle, 40-45psi anything over 1700 or so rpm depending on temp.
Anything to worry about?
Cheers

Hello Peter,
Checked oil & water before setting off as usual, on the money. Just checked again - the same.
Hasn't used much oil since new bottom end 3,000 miles ago, plus oil & filter change after 1,000 but still check it each time anyhow as you never know.
If it were the sender or gauge I would have thought this would show up in other situations not just when attempting Vmax but it don't. So I'm stumped.
Cheers
David

check connections to pressure sender (r/h/s by filter/pump) torque of the engine will move it causing the brittle wire to move.

had the same a year or 2 ago, and a month or two ago!
