I bought one a few years ago, but ended up sending it back coz it would not go in?... well it would, but it was squashed near flat over the rad inlet hose so I ended up cobbling something out of solid pipes to flexi back to solid... then a nice long run in solid rubber up to the MAF...
worked okay as I got good power but it's a PITA getting it all connected and lined up...

I'm determined this time to sort it so one will fit in... I've already cut the fan cowl down in the corner so it will ease things... and will have to see the rad man and see if he can move thin inlet pipe down?....

This is what I'm talking about....

I have the ACT induction in mine and it is a just fit even having moved the rad inlet down about an inch or so.

I think the only solution, without squashing the rubber pipe is to move the rad inlet down a bit.

Looks like you have done a decent job with your own fabrication though.

Cheers Ian.. I think we talked before on this one... and may be agreed the only way forward was to move the thing... are your end caps similar to mine.. if you can see, the inlet goes from round to oval where it goes into the rad?..
I'm sure it will take a re-core (annoying as mine is like new)... who did yours and did they have any issue moveing it? smile

Pretty sure my inlet is round its entire length not like yours.

Sorry John but cant recall the name of the guy that did mine, it was just someone i picked out of the yellow pages. He was located in Chorley Nr. Preston and very helpfull. Knew TVR`s and said he did the re cores for Ex Works at Kirkham. I am sure if you phoned them they would tell you who did their rads for them. He didnt say it was a problem and just moved it along with the outlet.

Mine doesnt have the otter switch in the rad like yours. You could do with that taking out and the inlet going about there. I take it you are not using that otter switch.

Just got the yellow pages out to try and jog my memory. Yes that certainly rings a bell as does the name Howard. Pretty sure that is the place.

Very helpfull chap, even picked it up from my house on his way home from work and then then dropped it off again when finished. As well as moving the inlet and outlet he also put an uprated core in it.

Sounds good to me smile it will be a few quid if they can do it without a re-core... but if it does need a re-core it £160 for a top quality unit.. plus the dreaded ... TBH the existing thing is probably a cheap one so for this I'll probably get it done smile

cheers.....
