I've reserved the dates for the Growl at Ettington Chase whilst attempting to avoid clashing with other large car related events (which have been announced).

The dates are Friday the 5th to Sunday the 7th of July 2013

Le Mans is 22/23rd June.
BBWF is provisionally the 13th July.
Silversone Classic is 26-28th July.

I'll announce booking details in the new year so keep an eye on the forums.

Can other model TVR's park in the car park this time if there are empty spaces??

Seemed daft we had to park elsewhere but other non TVR's were in there.

Neal,
The other non TVR's were there before we set up or arrive early evening when we are in the pub, but we do ask reception as some are staff cars. We try and keep them out but its not easy - one woman had a right go at Andrea this year and we had to make a complaint. At the end of the day its a car park in a hotel.
We try and keep the Griffs together and put other tivs together but close by. As you know the area we take up is about 80% of the whole car park and book about 50% of the rooms so not easy.

I'm with Neal on this. I appreciate all the effort that goes into this now establsihed event [I've been to every one bar one] and for that I applaud you. I still hope to see again one of the two Griffs I've previously owned. However, I took exception with the way I was 'told' I had to 'park away on the grass because I was in a Chimaera' and therefore 'not allowed' to use the car park yet there was a considerable amount of spaces vacant. Please understand it almost makes you feel unwelcome.
Apart from I'm sure it'll be great and wish you the best with it. thumbup

The grass parking was one year which was 2011. Appreciate the comments and we parked the other Tivs as close as we could on the main car park area this year (lesson learnt), but there just isn't enough room for everyone.

I don't get this. It's a Griffith gathering, not a general TVR show. How could one take exception to not being allowed to park a Chim in amongst a Griff show? It's like going to McDonalds and then getting upset because they won't serve you a Pizza.

I totally understand the organisers view here and as stated, the other non Griffs parked there were out of their hands.

I'd never dream of taking my Griff to a Sagaris show and expect to be parked among the Sags. It's rude for one thing.

Just my view, of course. smile

Point missed completely rolleyes
I was not asking to park inbetween Griffs', [heaven forbid eh?] just not have to park on a grass area when there are plenty of spaces on car park. I think your example of Mcdonalds/Pizza is a poor one TBH and un-called for.

Fair enough - we just have different views. But that's why you chose a Chim and I chose a Griff!

No offence meant. smile
