The search engine is down again so perhaps someone would help me. I need to adjust the N/S inner balljoint on the rack end because it has been assembled so tightly that the guy doing the tracking can hardly revolve the track rod. The track rod end is free so it must be the inner balljoint that is tight. Question is, how is the inner balljoint locked in place and can I adjust it whilst on the car?

Secondly, the 'bible' lists the toe-in as 20' but the lazer tracker at the garage is calibrated in millemetres. They converted this after about 20 minutes head scratching to 2mm toe-in....does this sound right?
Help will be appreciated.
