VIN number on a Gfiff

Hi All,

Its my first post and hopefully some one can help, I have found a Griff 500 for sale privatly and wondered if anyone can tell me where to check for the vin number, is it stamped on the chassis as well as a ID plate and where are they located?

I will obviously have the car HPId as well but would like to know where to look so I can confim the numbers against the log book, and HPI report.

Chassis number is under the bonnet, stamped directly on a chassis crossmember next to the big cat in the exhaust. You can easily see it between all the pipes that go to and from the radiator.

Hiya - on both th Griffs I've owned the VIN plate was on offside inner wing up near the bulkhead. Chassis number usually on the upper chassis cross member next to the exhaust y piece.

Thanks for the helpfull info.

However I have decided to ask Rob Ingleby (find a sports car) to do a full check of the Griff on my behalf, as I am not very familar with the mark, I felt it was a reasonable price to pay for peace of mind.
