Happy new Griff owner.
Discussion
Hello all, been a while since I've been active on PH, but now I have my newly purchased Griff, which I'm very happy with, thought I'd better drop a line and introduce myself. It's a 95 5L with serp & T5 G box and no power steering, which turns out not to be that bad to drive with. Never need to park in tight spaces so Guess I'll be Ok there.
Itching to get some jobs done on her, lube change, leaking rocker gasket replaced, new air filter (end hanging off old one), otter switch etc etc, so hope the delivery man gets his finger out! Just finished stripping & cleaning the air idle valve and hot wire and I have to say it's made a vast improvement on the tick over, previously a bit "wandery".
Well that's it for now. I'll post a picture if the snow ever clears and I venture out of the garage. Cheers Andy.

WOW that was some PH outage. PYNEY it is ash green, well spotted considering. Unfortunately the local pains shop are having problems identifying it. Always like to have some paint on standby for those annoying chips. Her that rules has told me that the Griff could only come to stay if one goes, so the Wedge will be departing sometime this year. Pity as I've come quite attached to it despite a few fall outs we've had during some works!
Well my air filter, 82deg thermostat and plug leads arrived today so hopefully this weekend I'll get them fitted unless the sun comes out, in which case they might have to wait. Over a week since I've been out in her and I'm finding it tough going. Even had to pop into the garage the other night and fire her up. Pretty sad I guess!

Not so well spotted PYNEY you probably have realised it is my car that I sold a few weeks ago, although it is under 2 foot of snow.Well my air filter, 82deg thermostat and plug leads arrived today so hopefully this weekend I'll get them fitted unless the sun comes out, in which case they might have to wait. Andy, I hope you enjoy the car it has never seen snow or rain in the 4 years I had it. I had a new otter switch fitted last year as it was running too cool. There is a remote fan switch fitted on the left side of the steering column that you probably do not know about yet. Have fun.
Steve

Thanks Steve, I was wondering if the previous owner would be on here. The photo was taken just after I got her back up the road to sunny Scotland and before I made some garage space. All tucked up nice and dry now waiting for some "normal" weather before we venturing out again. I was only half looking for a Griff but when your came up the colour combo ticked all my boxes so here I am. Hope your new Tuscan is settling in now!
