&1 diff mounting bush. Throttle cable replacement, coolant hose at rear of engine, fuel pipe replacement, speedo sensor, diff oil fill, and on and on.

I was only thinking today hats off to anyone who actually does this for a living day in and day out, they deserve a medal. I was upsides down in the footwell with my feet sticking out of thr roof at the time trying to remove a cable that had been glued in!!

Exhaust manifold gasket. Can be done without dropping exhaust and starter.

I've always thought the original design brief was "take a brake servo unit and build a car around it". Pedal boxes, great fun.

Yes, my brake servo/pedal box assembly has to go back in this weekend. Can't say I'm looking forward to it! The only car I've found harder to work on is the 60s Elan - the engine barely fits in the car so everything seems to be an engine out job!

Front indicator bulb. First remove horn, then dislocate wrist.

I had one of those too, a 1966 FHC .Failure of the dynamo bracket was regular and because of my size tens, tennis shoes the preferred items while driving due to the limited space in the footwell. It eventually self destructed the day I sold it to a dealer in the Gatwick area , consumed by fire ! I part exchanged it for a MK 2 Lotus Cortina.

It's important to have a favourite screw, isn't it?
