15 from the left and 15A. Of the two layouts printed for 4x griffs which I believe the precat to be only one shows a fuel pump fuse.

Queue the long list of expletives as you try to reach the fuse, struggle to get it out, drop the replacement behind the battery, remove the battery, and 1 1/2 hours later have a new fuse fitted!

I keep one of the handy fuse removal and fitting tools in the Griff along with a small Maglite, just for the purpose of changing/investigating fuses. Got the tool with a selection box of fuses, but they are available separately. Tool grips the fuse, so easy to remove and fit new ones. Pete

Had a bad morning. Was on my way to Joolz in Chesterfield to get the new Emerald mapped when the heavens opened. In TVR style the wipers decided to pack in blowing their fuse. Would appear the fuel pump shares the same fuse. silly Left me stranded at the side of the road. New fuse in but as soon as i touched the wipers it blew straight away, again loosing fuel pump. Anyway good old RAC to the rescue and a couple of hours later i arrive at Jools with the car.

New fuse and all is good. However looking at the wiper motor the electrical connector to it was covered, submerged in water. I am hoping this is the problem. Another great TVR design.

Anyway mapping is done and car is awesome.

So what have you been doing to your 4.3 where it needs mapping smile I couldn't see a profile on your car. Just interested on what has worked best.

Nothing really, engine is a standard 430 with same spec cam Kent 214. I have changed to the Vectra injectors but thats about it. It needed mapping due to the Emerald install. The end result was 265bhp which i think is there, there abouts for this engine.

I`ve never had the car on a rolling road prior to yesterday so didnt know the bhp on the 14cux and dizzy. I had pondered the ecu change for some time umming and r`ing over the potential advantages and would i notice any difference, apart from the reliability of all new coil packs etc. All i can say is i am glad i did it. Without doubt stronger and quicker. The engine now revs incredibly well, especially at the higher rpm`s it just keeps going. I used to get the feeling that at high rpms it had more to give. As for low down manners it will now drive at 1000rpm with zero shunting, amazing.

Big thanks to Joolz (spitfire4v8) he really does know his stuff and has done an excellent job.

Glad you to it sorted Ian.

It would be a sensible mod to run a separate feed and fuse to the pump to avoid future issues.

Reminds me of my car soon after buying it. Out in the middle of nowhere the window fuse blew, no real trouble.
Pulled into a petrol station running on empty to find that the boot release is on the same circuit!
