Something to look out for...

After a drive at the weekend and returning home, the Griff had an excessive oil leak on the drive ( maybe 1/2 cup full, but always looks more)!
This is from a car that has never lost a drop since I've had it.
On close inspection it was a tiny split in the top of the oil filter.
The bottom metal water pipe elbow has been resting on top of the filter and the engine vibration has tapped it against the filter until a split formed , resulting in the underneath of the car getting an early waxoyl!
Now moved it so it is no longer in contact with new filter .
Just glad It didn't happen on the way back from Chatsworth!
