To "sleeve" the 500 exhaust , will it cause a detrimental affect to the bhp if done incorrectly? Some people say dont just sleeve or part sleeve, cross over the pipes inside? Has anyone done this / noticed any significant performance drop, increase? Ive been advised that with a AJP style engine there is no need to cross or merge pipes treat each bank of cylinders as a seperate unit? But with a conventional v8 this is needed to create a balance, hence the tvr box perforations in the box are open to each other.
Thanks

Shouldn't need to cross the pipes...

Banks join at the Y-piece, before splitting again - therefore should be "balanced" as this is effectively a balancer pipe. No one I know of has joined the pipes inside the box, as you would be "balancing" twice...

Didn't think about that. Its just that when different people mention cross pipes it puts a seed of doubt in your mind.
Thanks Dom
