boot won't latch
Discussion
Definatly the solenoid. Happened to me the other week. I reckon the button stuck and burnt the unit out. Get one from www.maplin.co.uk for about £8.00
In case anyone's interested, I managed to sort out my boot mechanism. Basically, I stabbed at the lower boot hook a few times with a philips screwdriver - in a way that looked like I knew what I was doing. I then sprayed it slightly with some WD40 in a very 'deliberate' and 'probing' manner. Closed the boot and "voila". Problem solved. It certainly impressed my eldest kid, but beats the hell out of me!

used to happen to my old griff, it was fixed easily (not by me!) by adjusting the catch with a phillips screwdriver.
I had a similar problem when I went to Le Mans. (probably to do with the amount of stuff I shoved in the boot!).
good Old DTM
sorted it with a screwdriver, quite simple just two screws adjust the height of the catch thingy (very technical). Ellie
