Some of the so called "reputable" tvr parts suppliers are supplying cheap coils.... Don't fit them get bosch only! With mark Adams curing a hesitation and the first thing he spotted was the cheap coil. Put old bosch back on and instant improvement.... Be warned.

I would agree with the above, but would add that good quality Lucas coils can be used also. When I overhauled my ignition system a couple of years ago I sourced and used a quality Lucas coil (as fitted to Range Rovers etc). You have to be very careful now days as there are a lot of cheap Chinese copies finding there way onto the market.

Wanted to swap mine as always good to have a spare anyway so got a Bosch and it ran really rough o had to put the pother back on. Not sure if it was a dodgy one and cant find the receipt or remember where I got it from.
FFG
