What are you trying to achieve with the vents?
If you want to draw cold air in (e.g. for an engine air intake) put them as close to the middle of the windscreen as you can get. If you want to draw hot air out at speed then put them as far forward as possible. If you just want to allow heat out when you're in traffic, it doesn't make much difference where you put them.
PS its a silly idea.

It's a poor mans sagaris ![]()
not sure i like it really - those cuts are too straight for the curves of the car.
As far as Sagaris goes, yep, I'm a poor man.
Just think the car looks quite good/different but wouldn't be my first choice of alteration.
Something simple like the centre vent but maybe not so tall.
Before you start cutting holes everywhere, remember there are high pressure and low pressure zones, and you need to position the vents in specific areas and angles, otherwise you bugger up high speed dynamics and you also dont achieve the required results...
Car designers and professional bodykit designers spend days on end with scale models through to full size models to come up with the perfect harmony - well - the ones with big pockets anyway - wind tunnel use isnt cheap...

the guy with the "laughing griff" has put chimp slots in the griff bonnet.
the one on his was the prototype and looked pretty good, and seemed effective. he said he has the tooling and was going to make them for sale.
i've got my name down for one
Indeedydoo,
Taking the prototype up for the first mould to be made next week as the results have been very effective.
Hope to get a piccy of the car + bonnet on my profile this weekend, so wts.
The key is to keep the vents away from the windscreen as this is an area of low pressure and far from removing hot air from under the bonnet, at anything above fast walking pace the air will be forced back in and although this is cool air there wont be sufficient quantity to aid cooling. So as for the vents cut into the vetical edge of the bonnet by the screen it is more likely to have a null effect than anything - suggest you get a mate climb over the windscreen at 60mph and have a feel, lol.

I'd be surprised if the Griff ever went near a wind tunnel during development

There was a guy who attended a bookatrack day last year @ goodwood, who had cut out a large chunk of bonnet, then covered it with black mesh, it was his track day bonnet!!
No pics alas, and I'm not sure if he's on here. looking back through their archives, I think his name was Tim Stanley.

I'm thinking more cosmetically than functional. To be honest, the car doesn't suffer from the heat it produces.
A mate of mine who works at Bentley has offered his help in making a bonnet mould and trying a few things out. Could end up quite interesting!
I like Davids idea though....

If you want to reduce under bonnet temps, have a sensor that turns the fans on half speed, keeps the hot air moving from under the bonnet. It will remove far more heat than any hole cut in the bonnet. Full speed fans will work as normal.

Email PaulV, he has the best I've seen as the car is an ex malaysian car.
The vents are actually on the bonnet edge next to the windscreen and are not apparent to the eye on the rest of the bonnet.
Seems they let out a decent amount of heat from what I've felt.
Tried this - only found a Paul V.. in Holland - he has a Chim - can you link me please
