Finally the Griff is in for a complete respray as of this morning!!! I am very luckily utilising a spare slot at the company where I work, one of our paint shops is free and our two prime paint guys are eagerly prepping the Griff for a respray, exiting stuff! Went in to look at the initial progress just before lunch - both doors off, door cards off, boot off, bonnet off, hood off, ready to start masking endgine compartment door openings etc. The quality of work these guys turn out is amazing, so I can't wait for the finished beast, should be with them for a week. When back shall post some pics. Regards, Pete

Will stay with the 'old' colour as I love it - Vauxhall Arden Blue Metallic, particularly looked for a blue Griff when I bought it. Looks stunning when in the sunshine. My guys are going to do a triple lacquer finish with a final mop polish, so should be a very deep shine! We have had the normal fun with the mirrors, ended up carefully unscrewing the whole fitting from the door! Will be putting up on stands and removing wheels so as wheelarch edges and sills can be done properly. Rgds, Pete rotate

Bloody hell Pete, this just isn't fair. First you buy a 4.3 Precat, which you know I have a soft spot for, then you make your engine bay shinier than mine, then the you get the wheels refurbed.... and now this!!!

Next you will be getting a TVR Power Big Valve conversion! - then I would be hugely jealous!

I wont even mention the rocker covers!!! mad

wink

I cannot wait to see it after the respray and looking forward to seeing some more pictures posted up. I bet it will look stunning when it is finished.

Thank you James, can't wait to get her back on the road. Have more or less made my mind up that when I get the interior retrimmed (hopefully over the winter) I will go for cream leather with a dark blue piping! Rgds, Pete

Funny you should say that Hoover I have had a PM from a PH member who is not that too far from me asking the same and one of our local Mid Essex TVR Club members. Only problem is it would have to be fitted in when there is a free period between doing our own vehicles (we make large specialist vehicles, mobile television studios etc). Rgds, Pete
