Help -trying to track down a pre-cat! K628 OFW

Morning all, excuse me for coming over from the wedge forum! I've offered to try and track down a 4.0 Griff for a friend who owned the car around 4-5 years ago- reg no. K628 OFW. The car is silver with a red leather/black carpet interior and at the time he sold was running on the Griff 500 alloys. I've spoken to a classic car dealer in Dorset (Black and White Cars) who sold the car after my friend p-xed it for a CooperS Countryman(!) . I have been informed that soon after the car was sold, the then new-owner ( an ex pro powerboat racer) stripped the car down to rebuild it. (something he did with most of the used classics he bought) Unfortunately, he died suddenly after stripping the car down and the car was offered back to B+W Cars in it's component form. The trader didn't buy the car back and the trail then goes cold. My friend has checked on the DVLA website and the car is taxed until August this year. Grateful for any leads. Rgds, Jamie
