Any idea what this relay is for

The dealer I bought my Griff from has just sent me a relay in the post which he found after my car had been delivered!

This relay is Blue with the code 9753498780 and pin locations like this;
8-
4 | 5- 6 |
1 | 2|

Pin number 1 is only half the width of the others and a bit shorter. I also think it's a lucas item because of symbol across one corner.

I've actually got 2 things which aren't working at the minute. Hazards are only flashing the right side indicators and the wipers aren't self parking or intermittent wiping.
So is this 'missing' relay the cause of the fault, or just a spare.

Anyone any ideas ?

Have you looked at the Fuse panel/Wiring loom to see if there is one alike, or some missing(although there is some relay slots that are left unused).

I think Also i think on the earlier Griffiths there are some Relays behind teh Dash but would need someone else to confirm that before looking there.

Also I would think you hve to different Relays for Wiper and Indicators.

Have yopu checked the earthing points are all ok, as sometimes this is the cause to faulty electrics.

Not sure about the relay, but it may not be the problem with the wipers. Check the connections to the wiper motor and the motor its self for self park, that is if the arms are in the right place. As for the delay it is very long “TADTS” so be patient.

I'm pretty sureits the wiper delay relay

The hazard relays are behind the dash. The bible has the circuit diagrams and explains how the whole system works.

The wiper is probbaly a park switch issue. Again covered int bible. Don't recall any of the relays being blue though.

Andyy is correct. It was the wiper relay.
I found it by trial and error. Popped it in and bob is your uncle.
