Well! Now the paint is done.................
Discussion
Have been cleaning the interior of the Griff after the respray (see my topic Can't Wait....), and as it has been awful weather have been fitting new seal to boot, and generally piddling about with the car. Well, the interior now really needs to be retrimmed to match the cracking exterior! Been mulling over colour combinations etc and Matt Poxon has sent pics of his interior. Have decide that with the blue paintwork will definitely have to have a cream and black leather interior with black piping and dark blue carpet! What do you reckon guys?
I love the exterior colour but seeing as you asked cream, blue and black are too many colours for the interior. Keep it simple, how about navy blue and cream,(cream can be a bit blingey so perhaps navy blue and doeskin). Don't overdo the piping, blue carpets/ blue piping. Just my opinion.

I reckon you're going to put the rest of us to shame!
Maybe the best idea would be to check all of the colour combinations at the Growl and see what lifts your skirt.....
David.
Good advice, I was not going to have the interior done until the Autumn/Winter anyway. Shall see what combinations are around at the Growl - only a couple of weeks now, great stuff!Maybe the best idea would be to check all of the colour combinations at the Growl and see what lifts your skirt.....

Agree. Try less in way of contrasting colours but avoid being bland through use of different fabrics, ( bits of alcantara, suede etc ), or use quilted/diamond stitched leather etc. The Griffs appeal is it's super clean uncluttered lines. An interior that is really fussy will be at odds. My gut instinct would be blue poss using a second shade that is ever so slightly lighter for door and seat inserts with quilted look. each to their own though and good luck with whatever route you choose.https://www.google.co.uk/search?rlz=1T4GGLL_en-GBG...

Very nice, I did fancy the cream leather seats and console with black bolsters and dash, but with a dark carpet. Here's another, roof off.

Mcosh, I like the idea of the dark blue carpet and dash etc, especially as my bodywork colour is blue. I am going to go and see a trimming company we use for our Motorsport and specialist vehicle units and look at various colour combinations. Will also have a good look around at the Growl. How's the interior refurb decision coming along Pete?
Will not do anything until the winter layup, but after a lot of looking at different colours etc may go with a silver/blue grey I saw at the Growl for the leather work with either a dark blue or dark grey carpet. Could all change though...................

Just like to chuck in my 2p's worth if I may.
On my last tiv, a pale blue 450 Chim (I forget the correct name but it's a Volvo colour I think), it had Portland grey and Prussian blue as the interior colours - with the dash top and door cappings and pockets in blue and the lower dash, central tunnel, bolsters, seats and door cards in the pale Portland grey all with navy carpets bound in grey - always thought it look very smart and 'just so'.
Just think grey looks better with blue rather than cream - worth a thought though?
